Process:

With the help of people working in the cafeteria, I collected the remaining (place-mats, papers) after each meal of the visitors. During my visits of the cafeteria, I observed that the used place-mats do not only have food leftovers but also a lot of scribbling telling different stories. After collecting the place-mats, I rolled them tight like thick straws so that each story can be preserved. Coincidentally, the form given to the place-mats coincided with the food culture of Italy. People started seeing it as spaghetti. However, it was not intentional. At this point the identity of the place-mats was shifted. The rolled place-mats where woven together with local woolen strips to form a larger mat like structure. Finally six such larger mats where woven together so that they stand on their own to form a gathering.
